Act 1: Fresh off of posting Renaissance, I arrived in Boston for another classic BBB gathering. This event and the people that make it so special always bring a smile to my face. It felt so nostalgic having aired a sampler at the last BBB event and hitting all the same spots this time with a healthy body. I wanted a song to match this same upbeat and positive aura that surrounds BBB, and I happened to listen in on a New Girl episode my girlfriend was watching when I heard the perfect song. The rest of it came together so naturally and the rest is history. Filmed by Nick DeCola, Mike Hom, and Jacobie Burton.
Act 2: While dealing with days of Youtube errors from music copyright in Renaissance, I was staying with the AIr Handlers crew in Montreal for the first time. I was beyond excited to be hanging out with new and old friends in this one of a kind studio, while helping to judge a tricking competition at the Eaton Center. I found it far too funny that we were tricking in the Eaton Center right down the street from the Renaissance hotel, and really began to question the simulation we live in haha. Sessions were heated and full of passion, and I rode the hype to a new benchmark trick that I still can't believe I was able to land. The music for this section was inspired by a song I was listening to on a gloomy day in Denver that captured this inspirational math rocky vibe that I just instantly fell in love with. The outro lyrics summed up my relationship with tricking far too well:
" I love myself with you
I live my life for you
I love you and I hate you"
Act 3 & 4: This is a two part section covering my time in Israel. I can't even begin to describe what an incredible experience it was to visit this legendary community! The energy the entire time was absolutely electric. Absolute one of a kind hospitality. From the food, places, and most importantly people I got to interact with, I can't wait to make a return visit. A huge thank you to Noah Petek and Shinobi Productions for helping to make this section a reality by covering this event!
Act 5: My first CATT gathering experience. Thank you so much to BAHT and the CATT team for bringing me out to throw down with everyone! This section was filmed entirely by the one and only Zac Brannen! It was unreal to mob around California with so many new and old faces, in style no less thanks to Blian. Needless to say, I was pretty jetlagged coming straight to CATT from Holyland, but it was beyond worth it to spend time with the CATT crew!
Act 6: Trick Different 7. Now back in Colorado, I got to celebrate another classic experience with Pikes Peak Tricking! It's always a pleasure seeing so many people come to throw down at Flipshack and just get beyond rowdy with everyone. Shoutout to Luis for being the unstoppable beacon of energy in the springs and putting this event together every year!
